I have to say I have NEVER seen a baby with a bigger smile.  Big sis helped to keep this bubbly 1-year old interested in the shoot, but nobody made him laugh like mom.  He obviously adores her–she’s the queen of his world!  I’m thinking he’s going to KILL us when he sees this chair picture at age 15 (but it sure is cute now)!

One way we enjoy “giving back,” although I use that term loosely because we REALLY enjoy babies, is to photograph Stanton Healthcare’s clients’ babies.  This non-profit organization is dedicated to “preventing teen pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases and to providing women facing an unplanned pregnancy with life-affirming options in an environment that promotes physical, emotional, and mental well-being.“  See http://www.stantonhealthcare.org for more!  This gorgeous 3-month old boy did not want us photographing him without his involvement so he stayed awake and very interactive the whole time…

It was fun to help celebrate Ashlyn’s first birthday!  Matching designer zebra themed tutu, bloomers monogrammed with her name, birthday hat, onesie  AND a personal throne–this girlie isn’t the princess of the family, is she?  She was wide-eyed during most of the shoot trying to figure out who this huge crazy bald guy was who was trying to play games with her.  By the end she felt very comfortable with Jerry and wanted to keep playing.  With those electric blue eyes she is such a beautiful baby…

It was totally fun to photograph Pierce, with his sarcastic humor and willingness to do anything.  And this kid can throw back more caffeine than anyone I know.  It was the coldest day we’ve had this winter (32 degrees), but we managed two outdoor locations!  All union jack speedo jokes aside, you did a fantastic job, dude!

One of the BEST parts of my j0b is getting to know our wedding couples at their engagement session.  James said he was a little nervous, but I couldn’t tell at all.  They are a beautiful couple–it’s going to be so fun to photograph their August wedding!!  It was a perfect day to shoot–the overcast skies allowed us to completely control the light or occasionally when the diffused sun peeked out we could use it as a hair light.  December-January outdoors offer wonderful neutral backgrounds that make the subjects POP!  My perfect shooting scenario!

We had the privilege of photographing Josh and Meagan’s wedding a few years ago.  From the way they met (when Josh was on duty as a cop in McCall and Meagan was on a girls’ night out) to the way they play with Hudson, they are always full of fun and energy.  Meagan is a non-stop-on-the-go mommy with SEVERAL jobs and Josh now works as a detective.  Their life will never be boring and I can already see Hudson will also be a go-getter.  He was so much fun in the studio–screaming for joy at dog whistle level and laughing readily at our ridiculous games.  I love these shots.

We met Andi on a wine tour last year and have enjoyed getting to know her and her husband.  It was so great to meet her whole crazy family.  I’m glad they took the time over the busy holiday to have these portraits taken since all her siblings live in other places!

Poor Charlette got tired pretty quickly, but what a sweetie, we could still get her to laugh.  I love that she’s already got her senior photo posing down (i.e. the santa pic)…

What a beautiful bunch of girls!  This is just a sampling–they were all so creative with their outfits.

I love seeing our wedding clients again with their new babies!!  This gorgeous one was perfectly behaved at her session today.  She fell asleep so that Jerry, the baby posing expert, could mold her into any shape he wanted to.  This couple means alot to us–they have allowed us be there for all the big events in their lives.  What a privilege.  This is why I love my job…
